Ro Madrid –Biography

Ro Madrid is a DJ and producer with over 30 years of experience in the electronic music. His journey began in Mexico City, where in 1997 he founded Unión Fest, the country’s first electronic music festival. There, he presented his live act Hangar Tone and shared the stage with world-renowned artists such as Richie Hawtin, marking a milestone in the history of Mexican electronic culture.

Throughout his early career in Mexico City, Ro Madrid held residencies at legendary venues such as El Colmillo, Club 69, Rioma, Caféína, and Hotel W, while becoming a central figure in the country’s underground house movement. After a decade in the capital, he was invited to Playa del Carmen as a resident DJ at Mamitas Beach Club, one of the most iconic beach clubs in Mexico. For over 12 years, he curated unforgettable events, created official compilations, and released productions alongside international talents like HOSH, Christian Burkhardt, Afrilounge and many more

His growing reputation led him to the BPM Festival, where he became a resident and the only Mexican DJ featured in the 5th Anniversary lineup, sharing decks with some of the most respected DJs on the planet. His international profile expanded when he was invited by Fernando Godoy to perform for Chivas Regal’s Chivas Studio events across Spain in Madrid, Barcelona, and Ibiza, sharing the spotlight with Stéphane Pompougnac, creator of the legendary Hotel Costes compilations.

Ro Madrid also contributed to Sony Music’s “Born in Mexico” project, showcasing tracks from the nation’s top electronic producers. After taking a creative pause, he returns with a renewed vision: delivering deep, organic, and atmospheric live acts that make audiences dance, dream, and fly.
